On March 10, 2014, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) communicated to members of Congress that it did not plan to finalize most of the controversial provisions of a proposed rule that would make significant changes to the Medicare Part D prescription drug program. While we will continue to monitor the progress of the proposed rule, we want to thank CMS for its responsiveness to the public and to the many organizations and lawmakers who expressed their concerns on this issue.
