Group letter urging House leadership to advance H.R. 2332/S.1101, the “SHARE Act”

HLC joined the Interstate Healthcare Collaborative and other healthcare organizations in urging House leadership to advance the bipartisan States Handling Access to Reciprocity for Employment (SHARE) Act (H.R. 2332/S. 1101). The legislation would address barriers to interstate healthcare licensure compacts by clarifying the FBI’s authority to provide criminal history information to state licensing agencies for background checks. The bill would help streamline multistate licensing and strengthen healthcare workforce mobility while maintaining privacy and data security safeguards. The letter calls on House leaders to consider the SHARE Act when Congress reconvenes in late August.
