Jeremy Tunis serves as Senior Advisor, Engagement and Public Affairs at the Healthcare Leadership Council (HLC), the leading healthcare industry association representing all segments of American healthcare. In this role, Mr. Tunis advises HLC President and CEO Maria Ghazal and the leadership team on membership development, executive thought leadership, content, media relations, and strategy.
Mr. Tunis brings 25 years of experience building and strengthening reputation, crisis and issues management, and public affairs functions — often where none existed before — across highly regulated sectors, including health and hospital systems, medtech, biopharmaceutical, insurance companies, and policy alliances and associations. He previously held legal, advocacy, and public affairs roles at Amazon.com, Edelman, Forbes Tate Partners, Burson, and the Direct Selling Association, and began his career on political campaigns ranging from local and statewide races to presidential contests.
Mr. Tunis holds a B.S. from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Juris Doctor (Cum Laude) from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. He writes on reputation and communications strategy on LinkedIn with nearly 17,000 followers.
Mr. Tunis is active in nonprofit leadership with the Jewish Federation of Madison, American Council of Young Political Leaders, and Jewish Federations of North America, where he serves as Membership Vice Chair of the National Young Leadership Cabinet.
